boating/fishing

Experiencing sunset or sunrise on the lake. Take a water tour by kayak or canoe around the small island at the southeastern end of the lake. In the spring through June you’ll likely catch sight of one of the lake’s three loons nesting on the island.

Visiting a beaver dam. At the northern end of the lake, the Little Androscoggin River feeds into Tripp Lake. Head up the river a short distance and check out the beaver dam.

beaches

Many surrounding lake beaches beyond the Tripp pond beach access. A few to recommend would be Sebago Lake state park has a large beach perfect for the whole family. Raymond beach is close by as well.

hiking

Poland is a lush wooded area in the lakes region of Maine. It has many local hiking options. Douglas mountain, rattlesnake mountain and hacker’s hill Preserve are just of many options in this region. Poland is home to Range Ponds State Park, which includes hiking trails and a pristine freshwater beach

golf

If you only got a few hours to spare, the Summit Spring Golf Course in Poland would be a great place to get in a quick nine.

Opened in 1899, the course measures just shy of 4,000 yards and shouldn’t take more than 90 minutes to complete.

Previous guests have noted that for a small course, it was fun and pleasantly challenging.

There’s an 18-hole disc golf course on site as well if you’d like to try something new.

Get a true taste of Maine when you try some local wines and brews! Take a break from your adventures and relax with a drink in your hand. Many of these options use only local ingredients to create fresh and unique refreshments each batch. One of the local favorites is Oxbow Brewing company.

skiing

Great year round family activities can be found at both lost valley ski resort and pleasant mountain ski resort.

Lost Valley is a great small mountain with a big mountain appeal and pleasant mountain offers both day and night skiing, eateries and a pub as well.
